When to Make a Letter L Lion Craft
Letter of the Week Study
Some preschool teachers and homeschooling parents introduce a new letter each week.
If you do this, the letter L craft is a perfect addition.
It will help to introduce the letter L while working on fine motor skills.
Africa Study
In our preschool monthly themes, we suggested covering a different continent each month (until they are all covered).
This is a great way to expose littles to the big, wide world around them.
If you choose to do that, including animals from the continent helps make the continent more memorable.
This lion craft is a beautiful way to connect lions and Africa.

When Working on Letter-Sound Connections
The great thing about this letter L craft is that it seamlessly connects the letter L to a lion.
Encourage your preschooler to say lion slowly “l-l-l-l-l-ion” to hear the L sound at the beginning of the word.
Hopefully, your little one will remember turning the L into a lion to help them recall the sound we use for L.
You may want to keep the lion craft posted (or in a book) for easy referencing.
