Things to Help You Homeschool When Mom is Sick
Watch A Movie

Don’t get too worried about what movie you choose— learning will still happen.
Embrace Technology

There are many different things your little one can learn from being on a device.
Things from learning to navigate a device to playing the game.
These skills will be important as your little one gets older.
Technology will continue to evolve and your kids must know how to use it.
Enlist Help from Dad or Another Relative
If possible, call in the reinforcements.
Often times we run ourselves ragged when we are homeschooling while sick.
This extended our sickness and makes it harder to recover.
By calling in help from your support people, you can take it a bit easier to hopefully recover faster.
Order Out
Cooking can be challenging when you are ill.
Avoid having to make all of the meals for the day by ordering take out.
If that isn’t possible, choose something quick and easy to throw together (maybe a snacky lunch?) so you can get back to resting.
Naps and Snuggles
Get those extra snuggles in while you can.
Let your littles know that you aren’t feeling well.
Most times they will understand that they need to lay low.
Encourage this by snuggling on the couch (perhaps while watching a show).
Enforce rest time on days when you are homeschooling while sick.
Use Workbooks & Worksheets
There is no shame in pulling out workbooks and worksheets.
Even if you don’t use them daily, when you are homeschooling while sick, take it easy and use what you have.
Low prep and low brain power is what you need when you are sick.
Take Advantage of Online Classes
Look into your little one taking an online class.
Anything from Art Hub for Kids on YouTube to an actual class on OutSchool, these online classes can be just what you need to lay low.
